Hydraulic and Fire Protection BIM Modeller
Melbourne Full-time, onsite
Collective Engineering is seeking a skilled Hydraulic and Fire Protection BIM Modeller to join our growing BIM team in Melbourne.

This role is suited to someone who has developed strong Revit modelling capabilities and is ready to step into a more autonomous and project-leading position. You will play a key role in delivering coordinated hydraulic and Fire Protection services models across a diverse range of health, education, and commercial projects.

Working closely with engineers, architects, and the wider project team, you will be responsible for modelling, coordination, and contributing to design development within a BIM environment.

Applicants must be based in Australia with full, ongoing working rights.

Key Responsibilities

Modelling + BIM Delivery:


  • Set up BIM projects independently, including templates, standards, and workflows
  • Develop and manage high-quality Revit models for hydraulic services
  • Work confidently across platforms including Revit, Forma, AutoCAD, and other internal tools
  • Coordinate models with architects and other disciplines within a BIM environment
  • Contribute to project delivery through accurate and efficient documentation

Design Contribution:

  • Model from engineering design principles with minimal markup input
  • Apply practical knowledge of hydraulic systems to improve model accuracy and efficiency

  • Project + Coordination Leadership:

  • Lead BIM coordination on projects with minimal supervision
  • Run clash detection and resolve coordination issues
  • Liaise directly with clients and lead coordination meetings
  • Manage and implement project changes, including coordinate updates and client requests
  • Interpret and apply BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)

  • Team Contribution:

  • Provide guidance and support to BIM cadets and junior team members
  • Assist with training in modelling, project setup, and workflows
  • Undertake QA reviews of peer models to maintain quality standards

  • About You

  • 3-5 years’ experience in BIM modelling (hydraulic services preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Good understanding of coordination processes and clash detection
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
