Best Places to Work 2026

Two Years in a Row! Collective Engineering Named One of The Australian’s Best Places to Work 2026

We are excited to share fantastic news: for the second consecutive year, Collective Engineering has been officially recognised in The Australian Best Places to Work 2026 list!

Following a spectacular debut at the awards last year, this recognition in 2026 is a major milestone for us. This year, we were honoured to be named on the national list as a top ten high-flyer (medium), and as the winner of the spotlight industry sector award in the business and management services sector.

Defying the Corporate Blueprint

Maintaining this momentum requires sustained effort. Now a national team of over 130 members operating across Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland, CE has successfully scaled a high-performance culture that remains down-to-earth.

We’ve always operated on the belief that if you look after your people, they will look after others. Backing up last year’s win proves how deeply that philosophy is embedded in our DNA. We have carefully balanced agility with scale, ensuring our flat structure remains intact so every voice shapes our trajectory.

Creating (and Maintaining) a Best Place To Work

What does a Best Place to Work look like day-to-day? For us, it’s a blend of ambitious professional goals and genuine human connection. Driven by our employee-led cultural collective, our culture thrives on everything from annual EOFY dress-up parties and team camping trips, to cross-border Mario Kart showdowns, office BBQ’s, and purpose-driven charity initiatives like the Push-Up Challenge and Movember.

Beyond the fun, we invest deeply in the long-term sustainability of our people’s lives. This means championing a true switch-off culture, offering robust parental leave, highly flexible hybrid working models, and unique equity and shareholding pathways that give our rising stars a tangible stake in the success story they are helping to build.

A Shared Achievement

As we celebrate this milestone, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to our team for their passion, and to our clients and partners, who are a joy to collaborate with.

“Receiving this recognition for the second year running is humbling,” says John Lucchetti, one of Collective Engineering’s Founding Directors.

“It reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a work environment where people can thrive, feel cared for, and do the best work of their careers, all while having fun along the way.

Our care, collectivity and grit are what make us who we are. The biggest thank you goes to our team. This award belongs to every single one of them.”

Looking Ahead

Celebrating this achievement is incredibly rewarding, and we are even more excited about what lies ahead.

We already have several new initiatives on the horizon to continue building on our reputation as a top-tier workplace. Among these is a new staff-led program that empowers our team to transform professional project wins into tangible social impact.

We look forward to keeping this momentum going, raising the bar, and continuing to build an environment where everyone can thrive.
