Collective Engineering is collaborating with Freecity Group on its second Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) project at 23–25 Frederick Street, Rockdale. Development approval has been secured for this $80M, eight-storey development, featuring 117 units. Built using innovative Volumetric Modular Construction (VMC), the project is scheduled to welcome students in Semester 1, 2027.

Designed by Cox Architecture, the development will offer a community-focused living experience, featuring a ground-floor lobby, a café for residents and the local community, spacious communal areas, and a dedicated library. Residents will also benefit from a landscaped Level 7 rooftop terrace, private dining area, co-working/lounge spaces, and basement car and bicycle parking.

Arcadia Landscape Architecture’s design will enhance the urban character of Frederick Street, incorporating green spaces that promote well-being and social connection. This project offers the benefits of shared living with the privacy of individual units, conveniently located in Rockdale with excellent public transport access to greater Sydney and the CBD.
